Lyndi Angermeier has been a professional artist for thirty-three years. Her childhood was spent in Florida and teen years in Heidelberg, Germany. Frequent trips to museums throughout Europe nurtured her appreciation of the arts. Returning to the United States for college, she graduated with a Master’s in Psychology, yet the pull toward the arts was stronger.

She went on to pursue studies at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. The city provided her with an abundance of architecture and gardens. Her oils with dappled light gained appeal with the Garden District residents, and she became one of the highest selling artists at the Carol Robinson Gallery for many years. Her career as an artist was off to a good start.

She relocated to California in her thirties, where she painted for twenty years on the Monterey Peninsula and along the Big Sur coast. She exhibited at the Carmel Art Association, as well as several other local galleries. As docent for the Monterey Museum of Art, she was exposed to art history and the inspiring paintings of the California Impressionists.

Her current landscape paintings have evolved from her study and love of nature and the effects of sunlight, to now include the Shenandoah Valley. She has participated in many solo, group, and juried exhibitions in Louisiana, California, Massachusetts and Virginia. Her work is included in private, medical and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe.
